PSE RAISE THE MOST AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR BANGERS4BEN

Paintseal Europe (PSE) are delighted to be crowned the winners for raising the most amount of money for BEN after selling their Toyota Yaris that was used for Bangers4BEN at the recent auction.

Duo Operations Director John McLellan Grant and National Field Sales Director Darren Johnson bought the Toyato for just £1 from Gordon Lamb Chesterfield to take part in Bangers4BEN. The team were delighted when at the auction at BCA Blackbushe it sold for £2,200 with all the proceeds handed over to BEN.

The pair were one of over 40 teams that signed up to this year’s seventh Car Dealer Magazine charity rally Bangers4BEN that ran from the 11th to 14th of October. The four-day event started in Dover on Saturday, October 11, with the final destination at the Fiat factory in Turin before the drivers headed home on Tuesday, October 14.

Darren said: “The new management and sales team takes PSE to new heights; 2,000 feet above sea level in The Alps to be exact and it is brilliant that with the support of Gordon Lamb we have been able to raise the most money at the auction, for this very worthy charity. An amazing endurance experience of a lifetime- I am so glad we took part in the challenge.”

Bangers4BEN 2014 has raised the most it ever has for the charity this year – more than £35,000

James Baggott, Managing Director at Car Dealer, added: “Congratulations to PSE for raising such a huge amount for BEN. The fact we managed to raise so much money in the process was a lovely by-product of a brilliant four days. We’re already working on a new destination for next year’s event, which we know will be just as much fun.”

“We are so grateful to Car Dealer Magazine for their support with Bangers4BEN and we are chuffed to bits that it has raised a record amount this year. We’d like to thank all the teams that took part in this year’s rally – which has raised the most in the event’s six-year history – and thank you for your excellent car buying skills and amazing fundraising efforts and a huge thanks to BCA for hosting this year’s auction. Everyone had a great time competing in the event and we can’t wait to do it all again next year!” concluded Kelly Neal, events manager for BEN.
